Japan Tsunami Relief

By March 11, 2011Blog

As most of you know from recent news, Japan was hit by one of the largest earthquakes ever recorded last Friday. The magnitude-8.9 quake spawned a deadly tsunami that slammed into the nation’s east coast, leaving a huge swath of devastation in its wake. Thousands of people are dead and many more are still missing or injured.

In light of this tragedy, Lambda Phi Epsilon National Fraternity Inc. is spearheading our own national relief fund in an effort to help those affected in Japan. We have selected Global Giving Foundation’s Japan Earthquake And Tsunami Relief Fund as the beneficiary of our efforts. Global Giving is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and provides contributors with documentation for tax purposes.

Lambda Phi Epsilon is the world’s largest Asian-interest fraternity. As such, this has no doubt affected many of our own brothers and their families. Let’s spread awareness of the devastating conditions in Japan; let’s help in rebuilding their cities, homes, and livelihoods. Let’s take action NOW and show them that they are not alone.

We appreciate any assistance and support in our effort to fundraise for those affected. You do not have to be a brother of Lambda Phi Epsilon to take action and contribute to this humanitarian cause, please feel free to share this donation page with your friends and family.

Update!
