Relay for Life 2010

Cancer is a serious matter, and the brothers of Lambda Phi Epsilon took a firm stand against cancer-related illnesses during Relay for Life. Sponsored by the American Cancer Society, the event took place once again in Husky Stadium this year. Along with other student organizations on campus, the brothers pitched a tent on the AstroTurf and dedicated laps to their relatives whose lives were changed from the disease. The ladies of Chi Sigma Alpha were also at the event, and the brothers mixed with them during the day to lighten the mood. The weather—nonstop rain, cold, and wind—played a deterring role and forced many students to leave the event early. However, the brothers of Lambda Phi Epsilon were not affected at all by the brutal elements. While other student groups packed up their tents and left Husky Stadium early, the Lambdas’ unbreakable commitment to service motivated them to stay and support the cause the entire night—from dusk to dawn.
